Town of Parachute, in partnership with Garfield County 16 School Based Family Resource Center, kicked off the Farmer's Market season on Monday, July 8th. Several vendors were on site as well. Thank you to Spring Park Natural Beef, Pan Blanco La Guerita, Trout Unlimited Grand Valley Anglers, and Garfield County Library for joining us!

  • The top selling item was the cherries:

    • We sold 37.55 pounds of Rainier cherries and another 26.5 pounds of Bing cherries

  • We did 67 total transactions at the produce trailer

  • Gross produce trailer sales totaled $771.11

    • All proceeds are donated to the Family Resource Center

    • Family Resource Center also takes leftover produce for distribution

  • Spring Park Natural Beef sold over 26 pounds of natural high quality beef and took additional orders for steaks and various cuts

  • Pan Blanco introduced new baked treats, and sold out of most items

  • The produce trailer also sold out completely of several items, including beans and lettuce

    • Order online to guarantee your produce at visitparachute.com/mondaymarket

  • Next week, we plan to have new seasonal items like palisade peaches and apricots

    • We will also have more and different varieties of beans, such as black beans and pinto beans from Honey Acre Farms in Montrose

We look forward to seeing you all next week. Preorder online or just show up at Beasley Park, Monday from 4-7pm. Come on out for a fun community event and shop local.
