GARFIELD COUNTY, CO – Garfield County has mailed 37,500 ballots to registered voters for the Tuesday, Nov. 7, Coordinated Election. Ballots were mailed to all military and overseas voters on Sept. 22. All returned ballots must be received by the Garfield County Clerk and Recorder’s Office or a designated drop box by 7 p.m. on Election Day to be counted - postmarks do not count.

 Voter Service and Polling Centers (VSPCs) are available in Carbondale, Glenwood Springs, Rifle, and Parachute on Election Day, and 24/7 ballot drop boxes are now in place in every municipality in Garfield County. Early voting begins Monday, Oct. 30 and runs through Monday, Nov. 6, at the Glenwood Springs Community Center and the South Hall of the Garfield County Fairgrounds in Rifle.

Parachute Locations:

  • Ballot Dropbox - the ballot drop box is available in the red, white, and blue election box in front of Town Hall - 222 Grand Valley Way. Please do not use the drop box on the building, which is for utility bill payments. 
  • Voting Center - The voting center will be open on election day for in person voting at the Parachtue Library - 244 Grand Valley Way.

 If returning your ballot by mail, make sure to affix a $0.66 first-class stamp and it’s recommended to mail no later than Monday, Oct. 30.
